Such a glorious deception
The heavens stare down
at their reflection

While little do they know or see
The life so far below that be

Beneath the glossy image lies
a world which seldom meets the eyes

Is heaven fooled by this brilliantly designed
serenity mask?
Or does it see through to to the creatures not tarrying
at their task?

These questions I simply must ask…

As schools of thought swim through my mind
I forget all
they leave behind

Reflections in these two blue eyes–behold–whispers of mystical stories untold

Meanwhile my face maintains its pose
of peace and beauty, I suppose

Such a glorious conception
The heavens smile down
upon this resurrection
